Elden Ring Nightreign will be officially released on various platforms on May 30. This is a brand new game that combines Elden Ring with a battle royale game.
This game can be played by one or three people. After the player chooses his own class, he needs to spend three nights in Limveld, collect Elden Ring runes and equipment to improve his combat power, and finally defeat the final boss.
Currently, most of the classes in this game have been announced:
- Ironeye
- Executor
- Duchess
- Wylder
- Guardian
- Raider
- Recluse
- Revenant
Players need to make a choice before starting each game. The class selection for single-player and multiplayer games is very different. Let’s take a look at which class is best for you.
Ironeye
- Role: Ranged DPS Support.
- Main Stat: Dexterity.
- Starter Weapon: Bow.
- Passive: Eagle Eye. Increases the chance of enemies dropping loot after falling.
- Skill: Marking. Mark enemies with temporary weaknesses.
- Ultimate: Single Shot. Charges and fires a supersonic arrow that penetrates enemy defenses.
Ironeye is a shooting-focused class with high damage and agility, able to shoot while jumping. Ironeye’s arrows are not infinite, and you need to collect various materials to make arrows. The arrows you can make include poison arrows, rocket arrows, blood arrows, etc., which can add different debuffs to enemies.
Ironeye can backstab enemies even when using a bow. His skill can create a temporary weakness and increase the damage of teammates. And his Single Shot is to shoot a huge arrow that damages enemies along the way. This skill undoubtedly has high damage and is somewhat similar to the archer in Monster Hunter.
Ironeye’s most popular skill is undoubtedly Eagle Eye, which can help you and your teammates get more Nightreign items. And resources have a great impact on each game.
Executor
- Role: Melee DPS.
- Main Stat: Dexterity.
- Starter Weapon: Katana.
- Passive: Unyielding Spirit. Gain active effect when recovering from status effect.
- Skill: Bewitched Sword. Draw out a magic sword to deflect and neutralize enemy attacks.
- Ultimate: Aspects of the Crucible (Beast). Transform into a primitive beast.
There is not much information about this class at present, but from the leaked information, it is a class with special mechanics. He is a samurai from East, holding a samurai sword. It is said that his blocking mechanic is very similar to that of Sekiro. Sekiro players may prefer this class.
Duchess
- Role: Melee DPS.
- Main Stat: Dexterity.
- Starter Weapon: Duchess’ Dagger.
- Starter Item: Shield Grease x3.
- Passive: Magnificent Poise. Attack and dodge in the best way, and dodge repeatedly when necessary. Skill: Restage. Duchess can re-inflict the last 5 seconds of damage and static on all enemies in front of her.
- Ultimate: Finale. Instantly opens a 3-second cloaking window, then makes herself and nearby allies invisible for 15 seconds.
Duchess’s role is similar to that of an assassin or a rogue. She can dodge lightly like Bloodborne, and can also roll quickly. After dodging the enemy’s attack, she can quickly perform a set of fast combos with the dagger. If she can get a blood dagger, she will definitely be able to deal a lot of damage to the boss quickly.
But she is not very friendly to beginners, because the dagger has a short attack range and players must fight close to the enemy. Her ultimate skill can cover herself and her teammates, giving teammates a window to recover life and buff herself.
Wylder
- Role: Melee DPS.
- Main Stat: Strength, Dexterity.
- Starter Weapon: Wylder’s Greatsword.
- Starter Shield: Wylder’s Small Shield.
- Passive: Sixth Sense. Cheat death a single time.
- Skill: Claw Shot. Wylder can pull enemies in or quickly dodge attacks.
- Ultimate: Retaliate. Shoots an iron stake for a powerful single attack that can explode.
Wylder is the cover character of Elden Ring Nightreign. He can use a greatsword and a small shield, and can also shoot arrows with a crossbow. He is a versatile character.
Despite using a greatsword, Wylder is actually very flexible. He can not only use the hook to dodge or attack, but also use the hook to quickly get to certain terrain to collect Elden Ring Nightreign items. Retaliate can make the enemy unbalanced and fall to the ground, allowing him and his teammates to execute.
Guardian
- Role: Melee Tank.
- Main Stat: Vigor.
- Starter Weapon: Guardian’s Halberd.
- Starter Shield: Guardian’s Greatshield.
- Passive: Steel Guard. Land on your feet and hold a shield to create a stronger defense.
- Skill: Whirlwind. Flip your wings behind you to create a whirlwind.
- Ultimate: Wings of Salvation. Dive back and attack your enemies for a devastating blow.
Guardian is the tank of the team, and its large shield can block the most threatening attacks for its teammates. However, you need to attract the enemy’s hatred as much as possible, otherwise the enemy will rush to your vulnerable teammates and knock them back.
Guardian’s Whirlwind and Wings of Salvation both have a certain control effect and can stop the enemy’s footsteps, but the damage is not high. If you plan to play a game alone, it is best not to choose Guardian.
Raider
- Role: Melee DPS Tank.
- Main Stat: Strength.
- Starter Weapon: Raider’s Great Axe.
- Passive: Fighter’s Resolve. Cannot be knocked down while using Retaliate.
- Skill: Retaliate. A powerful punch that can significantly weaken the enemy’s resilience.
- Ultimate: Totem Stela. Summons a giant tombstone that deals damage. Strengthens nearby allies and can be used as a makeshift platform.
Raider gives up the protection of his shield and puts all his damage on his axe punches. He can go head-to-head with the boss with his great resilience.
His greatest strength is his Retaliate skill. As long as you manage the cooldown, you can keep killing the boss. If there are three Retaliate players, the boss fight will become a “militarized hunt”.
Recluse
- Role: Ranged DPS Support.
- Main Stat: Mind, Intelligence.
- Starter Weapon: Recluse’s Staff.
- Starter Spells: Glintstone Pebble, Glintstone Arc
- Passive: Elemental Defense. Collect elemental residues to replenish FP.
- Skill: Magic Cocktail. Combine elemental residues into powerful spells.
- Ultimate: Soul Blood Song. marks enemies with blood sigils, restoring the health and mana of Nightfarers who attacked them.
Recluse is a traditional mage class. She can cast spells to damage enemies, and can also use Soul Blood Song to restore health and mana for teammates. But her health and defense are not high, so she usually appears as a support.
Revenant
- Role: Ranged Support.
- Main Stat: Mind.
- Starter Weapons: Scythe, Harp Bow.
- Passive: TBA.
- Skill: TBA.
- Ultimate: TBA.
Not much is known about Revenant, but it is said that she is the only class that can use Spirit Ashes, which is a summoner. Her strength depends on whether Spirit Ashes you find are powerful.
Although Elden Ring Nightreign currently has only 8 classes, it is already very comprehensive. Which class do you want to play the most?
